Venchi, the Italian gourmet chocolatier and gelato brand, has opened its first UK airport store in Gatwick’s North Terminal, offering a wide selection of premium chocolates, gelato, and coffee.
The store officially opened to travellers on Thursday, December 11.
Stephane Geffroy, head of retail at London Gatwick, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Venchi to our North Terminal, another first for UK airports following the opening of Gail’s in the South Terminal earlier this year and a testament to London Gatwick’s commitment to offering a unique experience before the flight.
“Whether passengers are picking up a last‑minute Christmas gift or treating themselves to Venchi’s iconic flavours, the new store enhances our retail and food and beverage offering, supporting our vision to be the airport for everyone, whatever their journey.”
Founded in 1878, Venchi brings more than 145 years of chocolate-making expertise to its UK airport debut.
The brand is known for using high-quality, all-natural ingredients to produce artisan chocolates and creamy Italian gelato.
Travellers can choose from more than 20 flavours of gelato, freshly made daily in the in-store gelato lab.
The menu also includes hot chocolate, gelato shakes, and gourmet coffee.
Inside the store, customers will find Venchi’s signature chocolate bar wall, displays of Brutto & Buono chocolate slabs, and seasonal gift collections.
A “My Venchi Mix” station allows passengers to create a personalised chocolate selection from 40 different varieties, including Chocoviar, Gianduiotto and Cremino.
The store offers passengers “an elevated taste of Italy before they fly.”
The opening follows the recent opening of Discover London, a premium souvenir and gifting shore.
Venchi has more than 350 chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavours, all made according to the principles of the Mediterranean diet.
The brand’s commitment to quality and creativity aims to deliver intense sensory experiences through every product, from chocolate to gelato.
It emphasises the use of natural ingredients and authentic recipes, crafted to highlight the best flavours nature has to offer.
