Emergency services were called earlier today (January 4) to a crash on Junction 5 of the M2 Londonbound near Sittingbourne.
The crash involved a car and a motorbike.
Paramedics treated the motorcyclist at the scene for serious injuries, he died at the scene.
Currently the M2 Junction 5 is closed whilst investigation works are underway.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 6.33am on Sunday 4 January 2026 to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle at Junction 5 of the M2 Londonbound carriageway near Sittingbourne.
“Officers attended alongside paramedics who treated the motorcyclist for serious injuries.
“He was declared deceased at the scene.
“Officers have closed the junction while an investigation into the circumstances takes place.
“The coastbound carriageway is also closed at Junction 4.”
