One man is pictured on the floor with three around him following the fight in Eltham Hill yesterday (January 1) at 2.30am.
A man in his 50s was found at the scene by officers with injuries to his head, torso and arms.
He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were found to be not life-threatening or life-changing.
According to the Metropolitan Police, this happened after being attacked by a group of men.
One eyewitness told the News Shopper that there was “lots of shouting” for nearly half an hour.
They continued: “There was someone laying in the road and the people standing made their way from White Hart to this person.
“One must have called police and ambulances. Within five minutes there were at least five police vehicles and two ambulance.
“There were like 15 police officers, and the person on the floor was put into an ambulance van.”
No arrests have been made at this time.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 02.26hrs to Eltham Hill, Eltham, following reports that a man was attacked by a group of men.
“Officers found a man in his 50s at the scene with injuries to his head, torso and arms.
“He was taken to hospital where they were deemed to not be life-threatening or life-changing.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
“If you have any information that could help police please contact 101 quoting CAD 1426/01Jan.”
