Kristle Bravo, an international nurse educator at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT), was named Practice Educator of the Year at the Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards 2025.
The awards recognise individuals and teams driving excellence in nurse recruitment, retention, wellbeing, and inclusion across the health and social care workforce.
Ms Bravo said: “I feel genuinely humbled and incredibly grateful to receive this prestigious award.
“Every day, I’m privileged to support and guide our healthcare professionals as they grow in confidence and capability.
“Providing pastoral care, wellbeing support and mentorship and seeing the impact this has on their development is something I feel truly lucky to be part of.
“When people thrive, our workforce thrives, and ultimately our patients receive even better compassionate care.
“That’s what makes this role so rewarding.”
Her leadership and commitment to supporting international colleagues are seen as vital to the trust’s efforts to build a strong workforce and deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
