Temperatures will start at 2C by midday, rising to a high of 4C in the afternoon before dipping back to 2C by midnight.
As celebrations continue into Thursday, January 1, conditions are set to stay largely dry until late morning.
From 10am, there is a slight increase in the risk of rain, with a 10 per cent chance that rises to 30 per cent by early afternoon.
Temperatures will remain cool, holding steady at 2C to 3C in the early hours and reaching 6C between 12pm and 4pm.
A higher chance of light rain during the afternoon, easing into the evening and expected to taper off by nightfall.
