Asda Express, at the Texaco petrol station in Becontree Avenue, is hoping to extend the hours for alcohol sales to 24 hours a day.
The store, which already operates 24/7, has submitted an application to vary its premises licence in order for the alcohol sales to “align with the store’s opening hours”.
The application is currently open to feedback, with the consultation period closing on January 5.
Anyone who wishes to make a representation should submit it in writing to Barking and Dagenham Council, addressed to Licensing Department, Regulatory Service, Barking Town Hall, 1 Clock House Avenue, Barking IG11 7LU or by email to licensing@lbbd.gov.uk.
