A Saturday night timetable will be in place on all night and 24-hour routes, with diversions, curtailed services and split routes expected across the city due to large-scale road closures from mid-afternoon until 6am on January 1.
Key affected routes include:
- Route 1 between Aldwych and St George’s Circus will be diverted from 1.30pm, with a split service after 6.30pm.
- Route 3 between Kennington Church and Victoria will run only to Imperial War Museum from 5.30pm.
- Route 11 will operate only between Fulham Broadway and Victoria after 4.30pm, with earlier diversions in place.
- Route 12 will terminate at Lambeth North from 1pm and at Elephant & Castle from 4pm, with additional journeys from 1am to 2am.
- Route 15 will run only between Blackwall and Aldgate Bus Station after 6.30pm.
- Route 23 will be cut back to Green Park Station after 7.30pm.
- Route 24 will be split from 7.30pm, running only between Hampstead Heath and Tottenham Court Road and between Victoria and Pimlico.
- Route N1 night service will only operate between Elephant & Castle and Thamesmead.
- Route N38 will run just between Holborn Station and Walthamstow Central.
- Route N91 will run between Russell Square and Cockfosters only.
Additional services will operate on some routes in the early hours, including route 12 (1am to 2am), route 22 (midnight to 2am), and route 188 (12.30am to 5.30am).
Services are expected to return to normal by 6am on New Year’s Day as roads reopen and diversions are lifted.
