The accident did not involve any other vehicles.
The father of two, who was also known as Mat, started his final journey in Loughton.
The procession passed his favourite pub, The Hollybush, his policing base at Chigwell Roads Policing Unit, Loughton Police Station, and Loughton Fire Station, before the journey to Parndon Wood Cemetery & Crematorium, where he was laid to rest.

A guard of honour lined the route as his coffin approached and entered Parndon Wood Crematorium.
Also present at the funeral was an Essex County Fire and Rescue engine, and an East of England Ambulance Service vehicle, to pay tribute to his work to support road safety across Essex.
Biking clubs, including the Blue Knights, the Iron Order and Copperheads, were also at the funeral to honour PC Parker’s love of motorcycles.

Chief Constable BJ Harrington said: “It was the greatest privilege for Essex Police today to support Mat’s family in saying goodbye.
“Mat was loved deeply by his family and his Essex Police family.
“It was therefore only right today that we, Essex Police, stood shoulder to shoulder with his heartbroken loved ones and gave Mat and his family a full ceremonial policing funeral in tribute to his service to our county and of course his sacrifice in the line of duty.”
PC Parker joined Essex Police in 2010, and served for his entire career in West Essex, including in the Loughton Local Policing Team, and most recently, the Chigwell Roads Policing Team.
He was also a member of the Iron Order motorcycle club.
