Data from RightMove has revealed the most and least happiest places to live across the UK based on a survey of the people from those areas.
The findings put Bexley in 28th position in Greater London after the City of London and in 208th position nationally.

Bordering London and Kent, Bexley is well known for its links to London by the Elizabeth Line, which was introduced in 2022, along with its local history and Victorian architecture.
However, these findings put Bexley relatively low on both the local and national scoring board when it comes to how satisfied locals are with living there.
The data places Bexley on the lower end of the scale nationally out of the 33 boroughs surveyed.

However, despite these findings house prices across Bexley averaged £566,512 over the last year according to house sales.
The most commonly sold type of home was semi-detached properties, which sold for an average of £546,861.
Terraced homes achieved an average of £481,218, while detached homes reached £839,747.

Overall, sold prices in Bexley were 3 per cent higher than the previous year and 8 per cent above the 2022 peak of £526,073, showing a demand to live in the borough.
Culturally, Bexley is home to attractions like the National Trust owned Red House – former home to William Morris along with Hall Place – a 16th century mansion and grounds.

Meanwhile the borough is also known for its contributions to the creative arts, with Sidcup being home to Rose Bruford College – a theatre and performance school that has taught the likes of Gary Oldman and Kerry Godliman.
In addition, the borough also offers green spaces like Danson Park and Bostall Hall and Woods for leisure and outdoor enrichment.
Perhaps one of Bexley’s most coveted aspects is its links with London by the Elizabeth Line from Abbey Wood, which can be accessed from other parts of Bexley via Superloop bus route SL3, offering convenient links to London.
