Now marking its 12th year, the London Pantomime Race will return to Greenwich this Sunday (December 14) between 1pm and 2:30pm, where dozens of two-people panto horses will take to the streets of Greenwich to race to raise money for charity.

With this year’s theme focused around Rockstars, this popular event is a spectacle starting at St Mary’s Gate in Greenwich Park, with pit stops around King William Walk, Nevada Street, Burney Street, Royal Hill and Brand Street.
Racers will dodge obstacles, with the top five teams having to bounce to the finish line to win the title of winner.

Horses tributing legends like Liam and Noel Gallagher, Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse are among the lineup of racers this year.
But aside from the comedy and humour, the event will also raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital, with supporters able to “Back-a-Nag” and place bets online to donate, with the goal to raise over £20k for the charity.
The race will make multiple pub pit stops, with plenty of “off-key” singing predicted by the organisers, along with a plethora of “outrageous obstacles” promising plenty of comic entertainment.
