Backed by local franchisee Shanu Subra, the new restaurant on Croydon Road opened this morning and will be open between 7am and 11pm.
The new branch created around 85 new full and part-time jobs for people in the area.
This is the seventh McDonald’s restaurant in Surrey owned by Mr Subra, who says that people are “at the heart” of his business.
He said: “We are delighted to be opening a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Caterham and can’t wait to see local customers, both new and old, enjoy our services on offer.
“People are at the heart of our business, and we look forward to welcoming new employees with the jobs our restaurant will create.
“We’re committed to investing in opportunities for a mix of all ages, life stages, and backgrounds, promoting flexibility and equality.”
The restaurant has been developed in close collaboration with local businesses, showcasing innovations that prioritise sustainability “without compromising comfort or functionality.”
It was also built in-line with McDonald’s “Convenience of the Future” programme, which combines a new layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless and enjoyable experience for customers.
McDonald’s said it does this by having a “new layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless and enjoyable experience.”
The layout includes “dedicated areas for the different ways to order” to make the ordering process more efficient.
It allows “customers with adequate space to enjoy their meal.”
A new kitchen design and a dedicated “courier waiting area” will allow staff to better cater to both customers and delivery drivers, meaning they will be able to serve “more quickly, efficiently, and accurately” than before.
It offers “dine-in, takeaway, McDelivery and Mobile Ordering.”
