The supermarket is not offering its Christmas dinner in cafes for 2025.
The Christmas dinner was part of a meal deal, having been sold for more than 20 years.
It comes as the chain has launched its new Winter Warmer Menu, which the company says has brought back some classic items.

Morrisons axes Christmas dinner from all of its cafes
The Christmas dinner was loved by customers, with one saying on X (formerly Twitter): “After over 20 years of having Christmas lunch at my local store, I’ve been told you’re not doing it there this year. Is that all Morrisons Cafes or certain ones?”
Morrisons told Newsquest: “It is correct that we won’t be offering a Christmas dinner in our Cafes this year and instead, we have launched our new Winter Warmer Menu.
“The new menu is designed to offer hearty meals for customers and also bring back some requested classics such as liver and onions with mash and peas.”

The spokesperson added that the new Winter Warmer menu has received “really positive feedback from our customers and colleagues” since launching.
Some highlights of the new Winter Warmer Menu include liver and onions, minced beef stew and chicken, ham hock and leek casserole, all of which come with mash and peas.
There is also the vegetarian chilli option with rice and garlic bread.
As well as the Winter Warmer menu, Morrisons said it also offers a selection of festive sandwiches, toasties and hot desserts, including a panettone bread and butter pudding, mince pies and iced Christmas cake.
On Monday, December 15, the supermarket giant will also be launching a new meal deal where customers can purchase any sandwich or toastie, a hot side and a refillable hot drink for £6.
Full list of all Morrisons cafe closures
The removal of Christmas dinners from cafes is not the only news that has come from Morrisons recently.
It was revealed in October that Morrisons is pressing ahead with plans to close 52 of its store cafes across the UK.
The cafe closures are alongside plans to close all of its 18 market kitchens, 17 Morrisons Daily convenience stores, 13 florists, 35 meat counters, 35 fish counters and four pharmacies.
Morrisons’ chief executive Rami Baitieh said the changes were a “necessary part of our plans to renew and reinvigorate” the chain and invest in areas that “customers really value”.
In most locations, the Morrisons cafe has a “bright future”, but a small number have specific local challenges which made closures “the only sensible option”, Mr Baitieh said.
Some fresh food counters or cafes in shops could be replaced with specialist offers from third-party companies.
Mr Baitieh said: “Although these changes are relatively small in the context of the overall scale of the Morrisons business, we do not take lightly the disruption and uncertainty they will cause to some of our colleagues.
“We will of course take particular care to look after all of them well through the coming changes.”

Morrisons makes big change to tills
The cafe closures and axing of the Christmas dinners are not the only changes taking place in Morrisons.
From December 4, customers at Morrisons will be able to opt to check out at a new Talking Till.

This new till is designed to help tackle loneliness, being a slower check out where shoppers can enjoy a conversation with a member of the Morrisons team.
The new tills are part of Good Morning Britain’s ‘1 Million Minutes’ campaign.

“We know that for many people, especially at this time of year, a simple conversation can make a real difference.
“The Talking Tills campaign is designed to create space for those meaningful moments, offering customers the chance to slow down and chat if they’d like to.”
