The incident was reported on the A12 westbound approach shortly after 11.50am this morning (December 5).
At the scene, a minibus, truck, and a car were found to have crashed near the junction with Cathall Road.
Firefighters from Leytonstone and Leyton fire stations attended in two fire engines.
Two people were found injured and were taken to hospital.
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further details.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.56am today (5 December) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of the A12 and Cathall Road, Leytonstone.
“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“We treated two patients and took them to a local hospital.”
