The damaged car sits wedged in a ditch on the side of Hook Lane on the border of Havering near Stapleford Abbotts.
Although the exact incident that led to the car wreck is not yet known, the lane is notorious for crashes.
The grey car shows significant damage to its front which is coated in dirt.
Around the base of the erect vehicle is other debris chucked to the side of the road.
A notice on the side of the car informs passers-by that the authorities are away of the incident.
It is not yet known if anyone was hurt in the event that led to the damaged car being in its position.
