The display formed part of festive celebrations in the town centre, which included an evening of lights, music, and entertainment.
The drone show ended with an illuminated “I LOVE Ilford” message glowing above the town.

Cyril Bekoe, manager for Ilford Business Improvement District (BID), said: “Christmas inIlford 2025 has shown what is possible when businesses, partners, and the community come together even in the face or challenging weather conditions.
“Seeing thousands of families enjoying the town centre, witnessing our first-ever drone show, and celebrating local talent on stage proves that Ilford is a town full of creativity, pride, and potential.
“This event belongs to the community, and we are proud to deliver it for them.”
A new Angel Wings light installation was also unveiled, which will become a permanent festive feature in the town centre.

Exchange Ilford reported footfall of up to 36,000 visitors during the day, according to Ilford BID.
The event was delivered by the BID in partnership with Redbridge Council, Exchange Ilford, the Kenneth More Theatre and other cultural partners.
The main stage hosted more than 30 community performers, including vocalists and talent competition finalists.
The evening ended with two fireworks displays that lit up the skyline and brought the celebration to a close.
