Leftfield were once described as “the single most influential production team working in British dance music”.
They are to return to their home city to play Drumsheds this Saturday (November 29) in what has been hinted by the venue as their last foreseeable show.
The group formed in 1989 and was hugely influential in the development of electronic music through the next decade.
Fusing elements of dub, reggae, breakbeat and house, Leftfield broke through with their debut album Leftism, shortlisted for the 1995 Mercury Music Prize.
Their second album, Rhythm and Stealth, also narrowly missed out on the Mercury Music Prize in 2000 after reaching number one.
Their eclectic collaborations have included John Lydon of the Sex Pistols on hit Open Up.
The event is to be held in Drumsheds, a 15,000 capacity club housed in the former IKEA flagship store in Enfield.
The venue opened in 2023 and is the second to use the name, after the first, temporary space, closed the previous year.
The event is a result of a collaboration of long-running Manchester night Bugged Out and Berlin club Tresor.
Bugged Out! meets Tresor presents Leftfield will be at Drumsheds in Edmonton, N183HF.
Tickets are available from around £30.
