Global franchise Tariq Halal Meats is opening a branch in Bethnal Green Road, in a building formerly used as an HSBC bank.
Sheikh Hossain is setting up the new Tariq Halal branch and in late October claimed that he hoped to open officially in three or four weeks’ time.
Tariq Halal posted on its official Facebook page this week confirming the opening date as December 3 at 10am.
It read: “Grand opening alert!

“465 Bethnal Green Road, E2 9QW.
“Free full-size goodies for the first 100 people!
“Don’t miss out.”
Tariq Halal also posted on its Instagram page confirming the date on November 20.
Sheikh’s brother, Zayd Hossain will be directly involved with the running of the butchers.

In late October he told the Advertiser that around 70 per cent of the building was decked out in butchers equipment but there was still work to be done before opening.
He previously said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new branch of Tariq Halal in the local area.
“It’s not a normal butchers – it’s a lot more refined and we’re well known nationally.
“Customers can expect a premium butchers experience with 100pc halal-certified meats, all expertly prepared each day with an emphasis on freshness, traceability, and variety.
“Our goal is to offer a clean, modern, and customer-friendly meat counter – whether it’s for everyday family meals or special occasions.”
Zayd said the branch will feature a full range of cuts across lamb, beef – including wagyu, and chicken, as well as specialty and marinated ready-to-cook selections.
He said the team is “truly excited” to bring this concept to the Bethnal Green community.
Tariq Sheik founded the franchise in 1965 alongside his father and the business is now a “renowned halal meat specialist with a rich heritage in the meat trade,” according to the company’s website.
The business has recently expanded into the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
There are 29 branches across the UK, including the Bethnal Green store, which is labelled “opening soon” online.
