Police were called to Palmerston Road, off Romford Road, at around 4pm yesterday (November 25).
Officers arrived with paramedics and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital in a “life-threatening condition”.
Two men in their 20s and 50s have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.
An investigation remains ongoing.
Romford Road was closed in both directions following the incident but has since reopened.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 15:52hrs on Tuesday, 25 November to Palmerston Road, E7 following reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“A man in his 20s and a man in his 50s have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
The London Ambulance Service was contacted for comment.
