The visit took place at St John’s Church of England Primary School in Tower Hamlets on Tuesday, November 18, as part of a new schools initiative from Quaker Oats and Magic Breakfast, supported by Team GB through its Quaker partnership.
The initiative aims to champion the power of breakfast to fuel learning and confidence.

Christine, who won Olympic gold at Beijing 2008 and silver at London 2012 in the 400 metres, said: “As an athlete, I learned early on that how you start your day shapes everything that follows.
“A good breakfast gives you the energy, focus and confidence to push through challenges – whether that’s training for the Olympics or getting ready for school.
“I want every child to know that small, healthy habits can lead to big dreams.”
During the visit, she joined around 30 children at the school’s breakfast club and took part in an interactive session.
Emily Wilkie, director of fundraising and development at Magic Breakfast, said: “By joining forces with Quaker alongside Team GB, we’re showing young people that fuelling your body is the key to unlocking success.”
