Opening in Shoreditch on December 6, The Seven Wonders of The World will bring these lost structures of the ancient world back to life.
The human-made marvels have achieved mythical status, and only one, the great pyramid of Giza, still stands today.
Visitors will get a chance to learn the history and mysteries of monuments such as the hanging gardens of Babylon; the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
By the same people who brought us Van Gogh immersive – which was seen by more than one million people – these great landmarks are recreated using 360° projections, VR technology, and a stirring soundtrack.
The multisensory exhibition will also explore the seven wonders of the modern world, which include the Great Wall of China; Petra in Jordan; Christ the Redeemer in Brazil; Machu Picchu in Peru, Chichén Itzá in Mexico; the Colosseum in Italy; and the Taj Mahal in India.
Spread across three floors, the journey begins with an introductory video before moving through themed rooms dedicated to each ancient wonder, with hands-on replica artefacts, interactive screens, VR journeys – and even an LED Pyramid in the Egypt room.
Friendly activities include the chance to ‘Create Your Own Wonder’ and ‘Build Your Own Pyramid’.
At the heart of the experience lies the wonder of how civilizations across history have pushed beyond the ordinary to create the extraordinary.
Visitors will learn about the astronomy of Chichén Itzá alongside the mysteries of how the Colossus of Rhodes was built and why it mattered to the people who built it.
There are also plenty of photo opportunities during the 70-minute experience, from a three metre high lighthouse to the chair of Zeus at Olympia.
The Seven Wonders of The World opens on December 6 at 106, Commercial Street, Shoreditch, London. Tickets from www.feverup.com and further information from www.7-wond.ers.com/london.
