The Brigade was first alerted at 11.46am today (November 20), with eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters sent to tackle the fire.
A turntable ladder was also used as a water tower to fight the fire from above.
The fire, which broke out in the property’s ducting, was brought under control by 4.12pm.
However, firefighters are expected to remain at the scene this evening to continue damping down and ensuring the area is safe.
Smoke is pictured emerging from the building between Aya Lebanese takeaway and The Old Frizzle pub.
Traffic is still heavily affected, with The Broadway closed as crews continue their work.
Crews from Kingston, New Malden, Wimbledon and surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
