The Kevin Jenkins OBE Newham Christmas Toy Appeal is returning to The Stratford Centre.
From November 23 to December 14, a donation box for new, unwrapped gifts will be placed in Central Square.
Suitable donations include toys, games, books, puzzles, arts and crafts sets, and soft toys for children of various ages.
The annual appeal, named in 2021 to honour its founder, the late Kevin Jenkins OBE, is being run by charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve in partnership with the Recorder.
It aims to bring festive cheer to disadvantaged children in Newham.
Centre manager Tony Peters said: “The Kevin Jenkins OBE Newham Christmas Toy Appeal makes a huge difference to local families who face real challenges, particularly at Christmas.
“We are proud to support such an important initiative once again and encourage everyone visiting Stratford Shopping Centre to pick up an extra gift and place it in the donation box.
“Every contribution helps bring a little more joy to our community.”
Alongside in-person donations, online monetary contributions can be made via JustGiving (justgiving.com/campaign/xmasappeal25) or gifts can be bought on the Amazon wishlist (amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3KOW2QDDVQZ3P).
Businesses and organisations are encouraged to support by collecting toys, fundraising, or volunteering.
