The boy is fighting for his life after the incident at Sidcup Family Golf on Sidcup Bypass on Sunday (November 9) at 5.45pm.
A second child, a six-year-old girl was also injured and has since been discharged from hospital.
It is understood that the two were at a birthday party held at the venue at the time of the incident.
Following the collapse, a spokesperson for the club said its first priority was “ensuring they received immediate medical attention”.
The spokesperson said: “We are cooperating fully with emergency services and investigating what happened.
“Our thoughts are entirely with the child and their family at this time.”
An eyewitness also told the News Shopper that staff at the centre worked well in quickly looking after the injured children, adding that one “may have even saved his life”.
According to the source, the boy suffered a head injury.
A second told News Shopper that there were “loads of [police]” at Family Golf following the incident.
People trying to access American Golf, a shop within the centre, reported online finding the complex closed by police tape and officers.
It is not yet known which part of the building the wall collapse happened in.
Police are also investigating the matter along with the club.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 17:44hrs on Sunday, 9 November to Sidcup By-Pass, Chislehurst to reports a child had been injured by a collapsing wall.
“Officers attended and paramedics were treating a five-year-old boy.
“He was taken to hospital by the London Air Ambulance, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“A six-year-old girl was also injured and has since been discharged from hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
