“The restaurant features a clean and minimal décor that will impress on date nights while the buzzing atmosphere will make any occasion feel that much more special.
“Indian food lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice at Tandoori Lounge.”
With an average Google rating of 4.5 out of five stars from more than 340 reviews, it is one of Hornchurch’s highest rated eateries.
The Good Food Award site added: “The authentic Punjabi menu offers something for all tastes, with a wide selection of meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
“But of course, the real gems are the tandoori dishes, with options like tender marinated chicken, lamb shish kebabs and their sizzling Tawa veggie grill.”

Tandoori Lounge was founded in 2017 by Honey Uppal and her husband Sukh, with the aim of bringing a “taste of authentic Punjabi cuisine to the streets of Havering,” according to the Tandoori Lounge website.
The site claims its all-Indian kitchen team is the key to unlocking the potential of a real curry, something for which they say there is a growing hunger among the British public.
The Good Food Award gives a restaurant its blue ribbon for delicious dishes’ for providing a “standout experience”.
When that excellence continues for three or more years, a gold seal can be awarded – which was handed to Honey and Sukh four years ago.
“It’s not just an award – it’s a reputation,” according to Good Food Award.
