The incident happened in Ridley Road near Kingsland High Street just before 10.30am today (November 11).
Multiple resources were despatched to the scene, with the first ambulance crews arriving within three minutes.
Paramedics treated one person at the scene suffering from stab wounds who was then rushed to hospital.
Their condition has not yet been confirmed.
A second person was treated at the scene by paramedics but was discharged.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.26am today (11 November) to reports of a stabbing on Ridley Road, E8.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a paramedic in a fast response car.
“Our first paramedic arrived in less than three minutes.
“We treated a patient for stab wounds and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.
“We assessed another person and discharged them at the scene.”
We have contacted Metropolitan Police and are waiting on further information.
