Lisa Radford, 39, of Crown Road, pleaded guilty to failing to ensure a Pomeranian named Munchkin was protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease.
Between January 18 and February 3 she failed to adequately investigate and address Munchkin’s poor body condition, charges state.
At Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on October 30, Radford was given a one-year community order.
An order was made to disqualified her from owning and keeping dogs for 10 years.
The prosecution was brought by the RSPCA.
Radford was ordered to pay £114 towards the cost of prosecuting her.
