Joseph Udosen was behind the wheel of a Toyota Auris on the A2 Dartford Bypass on August 25.
He was stopped by police and gave a breath alcohol reading of 143 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal breath alcohol limit for driving is 35 micrograms.
Udosen, 36, of Maclure Road in Northfleet, was charged with drink driving.
He pleaded guilty to the charge at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on September 10.
On Monday, November 3, he returned to the court for sentencing.
Udosen was given a one-year community order including 250 hours of unpaid work.
He was also given a 30 month driving ban which may be reduced if he completes a course.
