Good Hotel London, at Royal Victoria Dock, has been listed among 21 of the quirkiest hotels in the country by The Times.
Coming in at number 19, the floating hotel was once a derelict Dutch accommodation barge that was towed all the way from Amsterdam to London’s Docklands in October 2016.
Inside the barge it is a “vision of urban cool”, according to The Times, with views across the Royal Docks and rooms inspired by Dutch design.

Communal areas include the “Living Room”, a sustainable restaurant and a roof terrace which serves signature cocktails.
Besides its design that The Times describes as both “sleek” and “industrial”, Good Hotel London reinvests its profits in education programmes overseas and hospitality training schemes in the capital.

Its “Good Training Program” has prepared hundreds of Newham residents for a hospitality career since it started in 2017.
The hotel’s location also earned it a place on the list, with London City Airport a 10-minute drive away and the cable car across the Thames to the O2 right next door.
Other quirky London hotels listed include The Rookery in Clerkenwell, and the Sherlock-themed Holmes Hotel, in Marylebone.
