Victoria Underground station was forced to close at around 7.20am today (November 6) due to a problem with the escalators.
All Gatwick Express and Southern routes to and from Victoria were cancelled as the issue was being dealt with.
National Rail confirmed the station was closed until further notice, however, it reopened shortly after 7.35am.
A spokesperson for National Rail said: “You can use your Southern or Gatwick Express ticket to travel on Thameslink trains between Gatwick Airport and London Bridge, at no extra cost. From there, your London Underground ticket will be accepted, by London Underground, on any reasonable route to your destination.”
