Police were called to a parade of shops on Essex Road near the post office at around 4pm yesterday (November 4).
A man was taken to hospital with a neck injury. His medical condition is being assessed.

While this has not been confirmed as a stabbing, the incident comes after three other stabbings across Islington in the last month, one the previous day and another only 300 metres away.
A woman in her 20s was stabbed in Elthorne Park the day before (November 3) at around 9pm.
The woman is in a critical condition in hospital being treated for stab wounds.

A woman in her 50s was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in custody.
Around 500 metres from the park on October 25, a 22-year-old man was stabbed on Sunnyside Road – and left with life-changing injuries.
A 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the latest police update.

10 days before this on October 15, police were called to Essex Road a short walk from the latest incident.
A 17-year-old boy was left fighting for his life after being stabbed in a a group brawl outside Angel Kebab.
Witnesses described a fight starting in the kebab shop at around midnight before spilling into the street.

A worker at the shop, Dundar Gizcu, told The London Standard that one of the young people re-entered the shop and jumped behind the counter.
He said: “He was looking for the doner knife but that has a cloth on it so people don’t see it. If he had taken it, it would have been bad.”

There have been arrests reported following this incident.
Following the latest incident on Essex Road, blood was left on café tables and chairs, and trailing up Rotherfield Street.
An employee at a neighbouring shop described a fight outside the shop
He said: “It [Islington] looks nice, but it’s s**t”.
Pamela moved to the area near Elthorne Park recently, and said “it seems even worse”.
She said: “There’s just so much crime everywhere.
“No one seems to have any respect for people’s belongings or people.
“I just feel like the world’s gone mad, that this country’s gone mad.”
