The British Legion Standard took pride of place at the shopping centre, accompanied by councillors, standard bearers, Mercury staff, and volunteers from the Royal British Legion.
Natalie Bays, centre manager, expressed her appreciation for the cause.
She said: “It is a pleasure to host such a worthy campaign year after year, as we continue to remember our fallen heroes.
“This event is close to the hearts of our community and customers, and we wish the Legion every success in their fundraising efforts this year.”

The Mercury Shopping Centre is housing a permanent Poppy Appeal stand until November 11.
Here, the public can purchase poppies, crosses, badges, and other items to support the cause.
All the funds raised will be given to the Royal British Legion.
The money will aid in their continuing work with both serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces and their families.
