The incident happened at around 8am this morning (November 5) in Shaklewell Lane.
The Metropolitan Police arrived at the scene first and took a 27-year-old man to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The London Ambulance Service did not attend the scene.
Shaklewell Lane was closed due to crash investigation work ongoing both ways between A10 Kingsland High Street and St Marks Rise but reopened around 1.20pm.
Bus routes 236 and 488 were both diverted temporarily whilst work took place.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Wednesday, November 5 at 07:50hrs police were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a moped and a pedestrian on Shacklewell Lane, Hackney.
“Officers attended the scene and took the pedestrian, a 27-year-old man, to hospital.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“The road was initially closed but has since been reopened.
“Enquiries continue and anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1315/05NOV25.”
