The latest six-month trial came into effect on November 3, and will see temporary restrictions enforced in roads outside schools for motorists during drop-off and pick-up times.
Roads adjacent to Kantor King Solomon High School, St. Bede’s Catholic Primary School, and Wohl llford Jewish Primary School have been included.
Motorists will be prohibited from entering Canon Avenue, Somerville Road, and between Second Avenue and Third Avenue between the hours of 7.45am and 9.15am, and 2.30pm and 4.45pm.
Those in possession of an SS50 permit will be exempt from the restrictions during term time.
The experiment will also see a double yellow line introduced to the junction of Canon Avenue and Jarrow Road.
Vehicles within these roads before the pedestrian and cycle zone commences will be allowed to leave.
In Ilford under the same trial, restrictions have been introduced to Starch House Lane.
These will be enforced Monday to Friday, between 7.45am and 9am and from 3pm until 4pm during school term time.
Permit holders of a SS41 permit are exempt.

The Public Notice Portal states that Redbridge Council will consider in due course whether the “experimental” scheme should be continued indefinitely under a permanent order.
