The election will be for the Grange Hill ward in Chigwell Parish Council and is set to take place on Thursday, November 6.
Vying for the position are Shivaje Singh Karari, representing the Conservative Party, and Erika Skingsley, an Independent candidate.
The election will see one parish councillor elected, with polls open from 7am until 10pm.
Polling stations will be situated at Victory Hall on Hainault Road for voters registered as AF-1-1 to AF-1-1049/1.
The Limes Centre on Limes Avenue will accommodate voters registered as AH-2 to AH-2021/1.
Finally, St Winifred’s Church Hall on Manor Road will cater to voters registered as AJ-1 to AJ-3219/1.
