The result was declared at council offices in Colindale on Thursday evening (October 30).
Tory candidate Shimon Ryde took the seat, which means the current political make-up of the council is now 40 Labour, 19 Conservative, two Reform UK, and two councillors who are not part of a council political group.

The by-election saw a turnout of just 25.2 per cent, with a total of 14,051 eligible voters registered in the Hendon ward.
The ward is represented by three councillors in total. The win represented a hold for the Conservatives, who won all three seats in the May 2022 local government elections.
The turnout for this by-election was 25.2 per cent.
Seven polling stations were used for the by-election.
