The Bell, in Forest Road, is searching for new operators, pub chain Stonegate has confirmed – but will remain open.
It comes after the boozer was listed on the Find My Pub website, with an annual rent of £90,000.
The listing describes The Bell as a “proven” and “landmark” pub, which has the scope to “develop even further under the right operator”.

Several elements including the “striking” architecture, sports area, private function room and beer garden are praised in the listing as offering “real versatility” for a future operator.
The Find My Pub listing says: “The Bell is a landmark pub in the heart of Walthamstow, proudly occupying the road junction that bears its name.
“The décor blends character with comfort, featuring a statement fireplace, booth seating with private TVs, and space for both casual drinks and relaxed meals.
“In a vibrant area full of independent venues, The Bell stands out for its size, charm, and local loyalty — a proven pub with scope to develop even further under the right operator.”
The Bell also has six en-suite rooms, as well as two self-contained flats, which could provide opportunities for “Airbnb style” extra revenue streams or staff accommodation.
The pub dates back to the Victorian period and has undergone several refurbishments over the years, most recently in 2022.
