The incident happened in Bridge Road near Osbourne Way just before 7.30pm yesterday (October 23).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a boy injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as non life-threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Thursday, 23 October at 19:28hrs police were called to reports of a stabbing on Bridge Road, Chessington.
“Officers attended the scene and it was quickly established that the incident occurred nearby on Osbourne Way.
“The London Ambulance Service treated a 16-year-old boy before taking him to hospital.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“No arrests have been made at this stage.
“An investigation is underway and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 6653/23OCT25.”
