To mark the festival of lights, Vue Harrow is screening a range of south Asian titles, including a remastered epic.
The festivities started on October 21 with Maddock Films’ latest comedy-horror, Thamma.
The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, is a mix of romance, humour, and Indian folklore, as two lovers face supernatural challenges.
Another much-anticipated film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, also hit the big screen from October 21.
The drama, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, set the internet abuzz earlier this month with its trailer, and centres around a tale of love, passion, and music, against a backdrop of heartbreak and desires.
From October 24, film fans can look forward to the sequel to the award-winning dramedy, Godday Godday Chaa 2.
The movie, starring Ammy Virk and Tania, continues the hilarious journey of women taking charge of wedding festivities, exploring evolving traditions, shifting gender dynamics, and the harmony of co-existence.
Vue Harrow’s Diwali celebrations will culminate at the end of the month with the screening of Baahubali: The Epic.
This is a single-film version of the Baahubali series, combining Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
The film, starring Prabhas in the lead role, is more than three hours long and promises to be truly epic, boasting technical enhancements and previously unseen footage.
James Kinsella, general manager at Vue in Harrow, said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating the Festival of Lights with an array of South Asian content this October.
“With something for everyone to enjoy, we encourage film fans to make the most of this eclectic mix of titles for Diwali.”
Tickets for the screenings can be purchased from £8.99 when booked online.
