The Channel 4 show is now entering its 26th series, with previous episodes seeing everything from giant curved glass homes to mansions built out of clay and former water towers.
Now, more keen builders are ready to take on the task, not for the faint-hearted, as Kevin travels around the UK to see the new builds in Grand Designs.
The first episode of the new series saw artist Sarah with a radical super-sustainable home that combined living quarters with a studio and an art gallery.
Sarah was followed by couple Pete and Aey, who constructed a factory-built house in rural West Sussex.
Last week, Marcus and Abi built a “luxurious off-grid family home” in Pembrokeshire.
This week, Kevin will meet Pep and Malene, who dream of building a modern Viking hall in the Surrey Hills.

Two years ago, Pep was diagnosed with terminal cancer and, as a gift to her partner Malene, chose to focus her time on building their dream home in the Surrey hills.

The home is styled after a Viking hall to reflect their love of all things Scandinavian and Malene’s Danish heritage.
In a preview for the new episode of Grand Designs, Pep shares: “The diagnosis of cancer triggered me into saying, ‘right, better get on with it now’.”

With Pep’s health, the project is under a strict time frame to make sure the couple can enjoy the home together.
Malene later tells Kevin that Pep’s health is deteriorating, leading to the builders putting in extra time and even working bank holidays to ensure the couple get their dream home.
Grand Designs airs on Channel 4 on Wednesday evenings at 9pm, and is available to stream on All4.
