Ambulances were dispatched to Portland Road after receiving reports of an unwell person on Portland Road just after 11.30am today (October 20).
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed to Your Local Guardian that the death of the individual is being investigated and was unexpected.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.33am today (20 October) to reports of a person unwell on Portland Road, South Norwood.
“We sent resources, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and a clinical team manager.
“Very sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
