The incident happened between Minster and Wye near Canterbury at around 2.30pm today (October 18).
All lines between these stations are closed as the incident is being dealt with by emergency services.
Trains operating through these stations are being delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted through Dover Priory.
The incident is causing delays to Southeastern services between London St Pancras International, Margate, London Charing Cross and Ramsgate.
Disruption is expected until 5pm.
