Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to the blaze on Lewis Road this morning (October 17) at 8.11am.
Around 26 calls were made as smoke could be seen rising from a distance in the area.
A semi-detached two-storey house was completely destroyed, the London Fire Brigade said.
A small part of the roof of the next-door house was damaged in the blaze.
Most of a car parked at the front of the property was also destroyed.
Crews eventually had the fire under control by 10.43am.
The cause is under investigation at this time.
