A murder investigation was launched after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death on Rushey Green just after 3am on Wednesday, October 15.
Tributes shared on TikTok name the victim as Sanch, also known by the nickname Stains. He was found injured near Catford Food Centre and taken to hospital, where he later died.
Dozens of people have posted messages of grief online following the attack. One wrote: “RIP my brother, I’m so lost without you.”
Another called the stabbing “so meaningless and senseless.”
Just a few hours later, police were called to Farley Mews, near Mountsfield Park, at 8.06am, following reports of another stabbing – only a short distance from the first scene.
A man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, where he continues to receive treatment – his condition is not yet known.
As of October 17, police have confirmed they are not treating the two stabbings as linked and that no arrests have been made in connection with either incident.
