Lavar Jones-Foots, 28, appeared in Croydon Magistrates’ Court on October 13 charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police were called to Meadow View Road at around 9.30am on October 11.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital where his condition was not life threatening.
Police arrested a suspect and he has since been charged as above.
Jones-Foots was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on November 10.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man in his 30s was stabbed on Saturday, 11 October on Meadow View Road, Croydon.
“Lavar Jones-Foots, 28 (17.07.1997), of Meadow View Road, Croydon, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 13 October where he was remanded in custody. He will appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 10 November.
“A man in his 30s was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where he was assessed to have non-life-threatening injuries.”
