Anna and her husband Daniel visited the store on Clydesdale Way, as they do every week, on October 8.
After arriving by car, they parked and went inside to do their shopping.
Anna told the News Shopper: “In my parking spot, someone had left orange peels on the ground, which I noticed upon exiting the vehicle, though I did not give it much thought at the time.
“After about half an hour of shopping, my husband and I returned to the car.
“We were then approached by two Bexley Council Officers who informed us that we would be fined for littering.”

Anna said they both explained that the orange peels were already there when they arrived and claim the officers did not witness them dropping any litter.
Anna added: “They insisted on seeing our driving licenses and issued a £300 fine for littering, without any evidence.
“I understand if I was putting the rubbish on the floor, or if they were watching me drop the litter.
“But like I said, we saw this on the floor and were in a hurry.
“We weren’t going to pick up someone else’s rubbish.
“We were quite upset and sought assistance from the Lidl Managers regarding any available car park cameras.
“Fortunately, we remembered that we had a car dash cam and returned home.”
Dashcam footage shared with the News Shopper appears to show the couple driving into the car park, with orange peels already visible on the ground before they parked.
A spokesperson for Bexley Council confirmed it has reviewed the issuing officer’s body-worn camera footage and has subsequently arranged for this Fixed Penalty Notice to be cancelled.
Ann added: “In my view, this was unjust, as there was no evidence of my littering, and I should not be held responsible for any existing rubbish near my car.
“Can you imagine next time I will go shopping and someone will leave the rubbish next to my car, and I will be responsible for it?
“They put us in so much stress – my husband had a chest pain at home and couldn’t believe it someone can do this.”
