The incident was reported in Rushey Green near Honley Road at around 1am today (October 15).
Pictures, obtained by the News Shopper, show multiple cordons in place as the incident is being dealt with.
The nature of the incident is unclear at this stage.
Bus routes 54, 75, 136, 185, 199, 208 are on diversion.
