The incident happened at Vauxhall station just before 4.45pm yesterday (October 13).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the person was pronouncded dead at the scene.

South Western Railway confirmed that passengers had been evacuated as the incident was being dealt with.
Major disruption was declared with all services returning back to normal at around 1.30am today (October 14).
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 4.44pm yesterday (13 October) to reports of a person hit by a train at Vauxhall Rail Station, SW8.
“We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes.
“Sadly despite the efforts of our crews, a person died at the scene.”
