The boards at the Allders building have started to come down to make way for six new stores.
MINISO, a Japanese-led retailer, and a Sky store were the first to open at the end of September, which saw long queues outside the iconic Croydon landmark.
On Friday (October 10), two more stores opened: Isle of Flowers and Abaci.
The Croydon Mayor Jason Perry visited both stores on its opening day.

Mayor Perry said the florist has brought a “stunning” range of fresh flowers, succulents, dried arrangements, and rainbow and bright blue roses, specially dyed in Holland.
Abaci is a family-run modest fashion brand that sells modest women’s clothing, including abayas, outerwear, dresses, suits, tunics, trousers, skirts, and hijabs.
The brand already has stores in Camden and London Designer Outlet.

The Mayor said Abaci’s commitment to investing in Croydon is “a real vote of confidence” in the town centre.
Later this month, café Coco & Nut and ice cream store Meltin’ Memories will open.
For over 10 years, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) have promised development to Croydon, but there have been significant delays.
In May 2025, Head of Development at URW Penny Cameron said that residents will see changes to the town centre by the end of the year.
Adam Smith, Strategic Development Director at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “The launch of Allders Parade is a fundamental step in The Croydon Project’s revitalisation and transformation of the town centre.
“We’re delighted to welcome these great brands this autumn, creating a new retail destination in one of the town’s most cherished landmarks.
“This is just the start of delivering on our vision for the town centre, as we look to create a more sustainable, connected and community-focused future for Croydon.”
Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, added: “It is great to see Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield preserving this landmark building and bringing it back into use for our residents to enjoy again.
“I am pleased to see a range of quality local and global businesses opening in our town centre.
“Allders Parade will be a welcome addition to North End and represents an exciting milestone in the wider regeneration of our town centre and growth of the borough.”
