Barking and Dagenham Council has announced a ‘no loading at any time’ rule at specific locations in Shafter Road and Rainham Road South.
These areas include both the north and south sides of Shafter Road, extending from its junction with Rainham Road South.
Additionally, the restrictions apply to the west side of Rainham Road South, around its junction with Shafter Road.
The order came into force on October 2.
This change is being made under powers granted by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Details of the order and the council’s reasons for making it can be viewed on the council’s website under ‘new and proposed traffic and parking schemes’.
They are also available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
A copy of the order is available to view for a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made on the council’s website by visiting lbbd.gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting ‘new and proposed traffic and parking schemes’.
It is also available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre, Barking between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
