The Romford fast food restaurant organised a litter pick on Friday, September 26, to support Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Where You Live campaign, coinciding with National Recycling Week.
Six staff members took part in the clean-up, collecting several bags of rubbish.

Leah Webb, people manager at McDonald’s Romford, said: “Yes, the event went well.
“The team collected multiple bags of rubbish. At McDonald’s we believe keeping our community safe and clean is extremely important to us.
“We have seen the amazing work that both the Harold Hill Wombles and Romford Town Wombles do and wanted to be able to do our part and ‘join forces’ so to speak.”
The event also marked the launch of the Romford McDonald’s Womble Team.

Ms Webb said the state of the town centre is a priority for the team.
She said: “It makes the area safe and welcoming for everyone.
“We believe that it is important for everyone to do their bit which is why we organised this event and will continue to do so.”
The Romford Town Wombles and MP Andrew Rosindell attended the litter pick to show their support.
McDonald’s Romford says it remains committed to supporting the community and keeping the area clean for everyone.
